Free Standing, Semi Inground Framed Fiberglass Pools

Nordic Plunge Pools is Newcastle, Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Mid North Coast’s trusted authorised reseller of Free Standing, Semi In-Ground Fiberglass Pools, Spas and Ice Pods for The Little Pool Co.

With the help of one of Australia’s leading pool manufacturers, Compass Pools Australia, located right in our backyard in Newcastle, and the brains of one of the industry’s most respected pool design engineers, we’ve managed to create the ultimate transportable lightweight, free-standing or semi-in-ground Plug and Play Fiberglass Pool or Spa. Compass Pools Australia manufactures the Little Pool Co.

The Little Pool Co Product was developed as a free-standing fibreglass pool using a Compass Fiberglass Pool Shell supported by a patented composite frame. The composite frame is a fibreglass product with non-corrosive properties and high tensile strength, making it the most versatile and durable self-supporting pool on the market. It’s also the lightest of the free-standing rigid pools available, which means significant savings in crane costs for customers. The Little Pools are all a flat-based pool designed to be placed on an engineered concrete base or large pavers and can also be placed in the ground at any height chosen with external equipment plumbing. New customised designs and innovations include connectable Ice Pods that can either be Hot or Cold, giving The Little Pool Product even more therapeutic value.

The Little Pool Co range has 8 sizes to choose from and a starting price of $16,000. It offers a cost-effective alternative to other designs and includes more design options than shipping container pools or concrete plunge pools.

Steel or Timber Reinforced Inground, Above and Semi Inground Fiberglass Pools.

Nordic Plunge Pools is Newcastle, Central Coast, Hunter Valley, and Mid North Coast’s trusted and authorised reseller of Inground, Semi-Aboveground, and Free-Standing Fiberglass Pools and Spas for The Plunge Pool Factory Australia.

The Plunge Pool Factory Pools offer standard fibreglass inground applications, semi-above-ground applications, or completely free-standing pools for just about any environment.

Regular Fibreglass pools are not designed with enough strength to support themselves once filled with water. They will crack once filled with water or give out after a period. Fibreglass pools need to have a backfill stabiliser, and at installation, they require a concrete reinforced bond beam around the pool to stop the pool shell from moving. The Plunge Pool Factory Patent Pool Design is strong enough to be installed without backfilling and does not need a concrete reinforced bond beam or a concrete base. Because our plunge pools are designed with such hardiness, they save your costs during the installation period; plus, our pools are lightweight and easy to install – in some cases, they can be installed in one day.

The installation can be carried out by a handy DIY person as it is quite simple and does not require a specialised licensed pool installer. However, Nordic Plunge Pools will offer the Complete Installation, backup, and service on request, including all submissions, certifications, and inspections, utilising our own swimming pool builder’s licence.

The Plunge Pool Factory Pools are engineered and designed to be placed on a sand or appropriate base just as standard in-ground applications. This allows you to make selections that are not limited to a flat-bottom pool, giving you options for a much deeper and wider plunge pool. The new patent design has either a steel or timber reinforced structure on the side and under the floor area designed for each model and the size of the pool shell.

Below are the advantages

  • A 6m pool weighs only about 1100 kg to 1400 kg compared to a precast concrete pool, which can be up to 18,000 kg.
  • Precast concrete pools require a very large crane to lift them over a house, possibly costing over $10,000.
  • There is no need to backfill with sand and or cement.
  • There is no need for a concrete base.
  • No need for a concrete bond beam
  • You can have a more profound and broader pool, as you are not restricted to a flat-bottom Pool.
  • A homeowner can easily do DIY Installation with the correct guidance and, in some cases, would not require a swimming pool builders’ licence.
